About me

Hi, I’m Jana, a qualified hypnotherapist, counselling student, and a big fan of brains, bravery, and the beautiful mess that is being human.

If you know how it feels to live with a kind of anxiety that’s hard to describe—let alone explain—you’re not alone. In fact, you're exactly who I work with. You might call it burnout. Or that low, anxious buzz that won’t go away no matter how many podcasts, planners, or green juices you throw at it.

My job? To help you turn the volume down on the overwhelm and rediscover the quiet power that’s already inside you. I offer gentle, trauma-aware hypnotherapy designed not to “fix” you (spoiler: you’re not broken), but to help you come home to yourself. Think of it as brain spa meets soul compass.

My Journey Into Hypnotherapy

I didn’t set out to become a hypnotherapist.
In fact, I was skeptical.
When I began my counselling training, I didn’t expect hypnotherapy to become my calling.
During my training, I learned that hypnotherapy has nothing to do with magic or tricks — it’s about trust, presence, and curiosity.
While letting other students practise on me, I felt my own anxiety gently back off. Hypnotherapy proved to be a powerful way to create real change.

A Little More About Me

Hand with a lighthouse tattoo and a watch holding small black stones on a sandy beach with shipping cranes in the background.
From the cobbled streets of Prague to the quiet charm of New Brighton, I’ve found my home by the sea. The rhythm of the waves, the whisper of the wind, and the touch of rain feel woven into my nervous system now; as if they’ve become a part of who I am.

I’m a wife and mum to three boys: two teenagers and one wild, free-spirited toddler. Life with four men under one roof has taught me the importance of tuning into my own feminine energy and staying deeply connected to it.

I love how nature grounds me. I greet every dog I meet. And I find something magical in the way autumn wraps the world in warm colours. Coffee is my daily ritual. And silence? I treasure it whenever I can find it, like a rare and precious gift.

Running is my moving meditation, the space where my thoughts untangle and I come back to myself. I’m a reader: everything from brain science to poetry finds a place on my nightstand.

I’m an introvert at heart, a storyteller who loves weaving truth into words, and a space-holder who believes that being truly heard can change everything.

My Values

My Superpower

Choosing a therapist can feel like a major challenge. We are all different, beautifully unique, each carrying something valuable we can give to others. Years ago, I began writing a blog—my way of coping with life’s unpredictability, especially in the midst of motherhood. I poured in my observations, my worries, and my heart. What I didn’t realize at the time was how much those words meant to others.

When I decided to make the blog private, messages started coming in from people I barely knew. They told me how my writing had opened their hearts, strengthened their faith in the beauty of life, and made them feel less alone. They asked me to keep sharing. In that moment, I understood something: by being honest and true to myself, I was able to give others something meaningful. I had this quiet superpower—the ability to show the world through my eyes—and it turned out to be contagious.

When I turned 42, I took a leap of faith and enrolled in a counselling course. It felt like a calling, something that rang true in my bones. And maybe that’s why you’ll choose me as your guide. Because I can walk beside you, helping you look at life from a slightly different angle. Sometimes all it takes is a gentle shift in perspective to unlock new possibilities. My hope is that, through our work together, you begin to see yourself more clearly, to trust your own wisdom, and to become your own therapist, your own guide.
